Being from north of the border and a little tight with money. I made a pair of these things last year.

Worked fine, rolled a lancia spyder shelll to work on the underside.

Didnt try it with all the engine and gearbox etc as it puts a fair strain on the whell bearings and hubs.

I used 40mm steel pipe and welded up a box to allow bolting to the whell hub.

I needs a fair lift to get it up but was OK
Once its up just use an axle stand to keep it safe.

I saw these at Detling last year (I think) Quite impressive, yet simple. A bit pricey though.

What about all the fluids? even if you try and drain them first, you will still make a mess!

These used to be marketed as 'Carollers' IIRC. I have seen them used plenty of times but usually on cars with no engine/box fitted. Far better than upskittleing a car on to a few bale/old mattress!!

maked one out off old scaffold tube for doing my bug, great thing but u need a few mates to roll it over and back down.
