Ok.
I ordered some 1,6mm electrodes in order to start some practice welds but, when I assembled the TIG torch. The collet would not grip the electrode.
The welder’s warehouse does not seem to supply the correct one. Does anybody know where I can get some? I assume that everyone else from the group
buy has managed to get up and running by now. Or have I got a different torch to everyone else?
See the picture below for the type of collet.

Hi
Not sure what type (WP??) of torch it is but i just took the little blue bag with the torch in it to my local supplier who at first looked puzzled
(like it was not a common torch) and then found a bag with some in.
It cost just under a fiver for one set of collets.
Hope this helps
Regards
Frank
I got three collets with mine... They grip 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2mm I think...
I've certainly used the 1.6 & the 2.4mm
Cheers
They're standard torches....there's nothing strange about them but they are commercial spec so some of the more hobby places seem to be a bit bemused (in my experience)....as someone said I got 3 different ones with mine to account for changes in tungsten sizes. What are you welding?? 1.6mm is generally for thin body work type stuff as far as I can tell...I've been using 2.4 on almost everything including ali manifolds etc....Oli.
i replaced the supplied one with one of
These and is a far better quality than the original imho, wasa bargin at £35 too!

worth getting a triggerless torch if you are getting a second one.
I have a WP20 triggerless one and its small and very light, easy to get into tight corners with and you don't need the trigger if using a pedal,
much easier to keep steady when starting the arc.
