Imreferring to Wurth bond and seal, sikaflex, tigerflex etc etc here.

Ive lost count of how many partially opened tubes ive gone through (ie bought a tube, only needed small amount, gone off before ive needed to use again. Does anyone have a good tip for prolonging its life once opened?

put a screw in the end of the nozzle

Squeeze 10-15mm out of the end of the nozzle when you are finished. Next time you go to use it just pull the now set protruding bit off, and voila

tried both of those im afraid but still find the nozzle and part of the tube hardened next time. Also tried squeexing some out and wrapping plastic etc over the end.

I've tried unscrewing the nozzle and putting a piece of polyphene over the tube and refitting nozzle . Seems to keep it usable a bit longer but still goes off.

I tend to wear latex gloves when working and at the end of the day I stick the nozzle into a finger of a used glove and squirt until it is full. Next time i need it I just pull off the glove and I am good to go. I have kept an open tube going for 3 months using this method....

I also buy the stuff from decorating direct which is about a quarter of the price...

I have reused part of the remainders by drilling with a long bit into the cured in the nozzle, messes up the bit a "bit" but nothing a few paer towels can`t handle

I always seal mine using aluminium foil sticky tape, it sticks really well to anything and makes a good seal.I seal the nozzle and the base of the tube after removing from the mastic gun. All the tubes I have had have a base seal I presume to keep air out from the piston area, I find that by sealing this and the nozzle it keeps for a few months easily.
