Where to get shapes cut out of plate?
blueshift - 19/3/07 at 01:23 PM

I could do with getting some bits of plate cut, last ones were done with a laser by my mate in his old job and they were spot on.

Need 4 bits about 50x50mm cut out of 3mm mild, and might also be interested in a couple of bits about 150x150 out of 4mm but I can do without those.

Any leads? Any locosters got a laser cutter at work and want some beer money?

Can supply DXFs or whatever is needed.

Not that it's anything to do with me but...
A very generous offer Mark - I'm pleased you let peeps on here see your good side from time to time

Give Marc a shout at MNR, he may be able to sort you out.

Give John (jroberts) a try, he can supply laser cut plate from dxf's.

Cheers

What's wrong with jigsaw or angry grinder and 1mm cutting disk? use flap disk and file to finish edges. shouldn't take more than an hour to do the lot!
