We're looking at treating ourselves to a plasma cutter, can anyone shed light on whats good and whats not, how much to spend potential pitfalls etc. It'll mainly be used on body steel or slightly thicker. Possibly 3 to 4mm thickness maximum, any help appreciated
I,ve got a cebora car 30, uses more consumables than I expected.
Cuts 3 - 4mm okay.
In general plasma is not as good as I had expected unless you are cutting intricate shapes that are awkward with a jig saw or angle grinder I would
not bother.

ditto, its fast but you can spend a lot of time making an accurate guide for any given shape - it not easy free hand.
My clark was ok but packed in ages ago now and ive not bothered fixing it - probably just wants a new tip.
