Right, me mig turns up on monday, and my local land lord gave me a bottle.
Does anyone know any way of getting it refilled without going down the rental route?
I've not got much to weld realy, but i've never done it before and need to get some practice in before I weld my cradle in.
After that it will only be used rarely so rental smacks of wasted money lol

my local motor factors will fill CO2 bottles. £5 for a small one and £10 for a medium sized one.
Take it back to the pub and swap for a fulll one for a few ££?
Or does he not know he gave you a bottle of gas?
Make sure you get co2 if you get it from a pub, they do co2 mixes for different brews including nitrogen which doesn't work so well. Some fire extinguisher places will do refills.
Check the yellow pages for a local independant pub supply company they'll normally do an exchange.

Bob
OK I'll be controversial, you are better off going to BOC and renting a small argoshield, less the £5 a month, and £28 a fill, it is worth it for
the improvement in weld quality and penatration. If you're doing chassis work why take the risk...
Rgds.
Pete.
Yeah I decided that'd be the best route, so I have given up smoking and gotten a pub size bottle and regulator from BOC lol
