I have used up all my drem sanding cylinders, alson called drums, and am looking for a cheap source

searching the bay of e but not found really cheap ones, quantity say 20 to 50 max.

I don't know if the same applies where you are but in South Africa the cheapest source by far of abrasive products like this are normally the specialist industrial abrasive supply companies - check out your yellow pages.

They are normally half the price of the large factors and twice the quality.

The last place we found any cheep was a Model Air show.

Maybe try an Auto Jumble, model shop or somewhere that would sell them in bulk or a trade place and metioned

This is a sore point for me - the astonishing cost of Dremel tooling. Considering that the US Dollar has fallen in value when compared to the Pound, the Dremel accessories have gone UP in price over the same period.

One thing in particular amazes me - the cost of the large reinforced cut-off discs. IN B&Q (that well-known rip-off emprium) charge up to £15 for 10 discs - I can get Norton discs for my angle grinder cheaper than that! And they last no time at all.

Their other accessories are also overpriced, for what they are.

Their cut-off disks aren't much cheaper than B&Q. Maybe it's the UK distributor loading the prices?

Yep, same problem.. I end up using a fair few when finishing off a port job. Mostly I try to use a burr for aslong as possible before using the sanding drums to finish to surface..

I want a big bag of them...

Unfortunately with most tools I've found you get what you pay for.
Although Dremel cutting discs do seem rather expensive they last so much longer than the cheaper ones I've tried. I had a cheap cut-off tool with equally cheap cut-off discs and not only did they look like a catherine wheel firework, they last about as long as well!! It's Dremel originals for me everytime.... and I'm a tight git...
