Anyone succesfully removed the words Ford and Zetec from the plastic cam cover on phase 3 zetecs? I've tried cellulose, & nitromors so far with no joy...

Does an alloy one from a phase 1 or 2 fit?

Yes the alloy one wil fit a black top in place of the plastic version.
The silvertop sump also fits a blacktop .

The lettering will probs be hot foil printed or similar (not seen it myself). Probs only removable by mechanical means which will make the cover look 2nd hand.
