Anyone got a Clarke Boxer 55 compressor?

Im thinking of buying a Clarke Boxer 55 compressor from Machine Mart tomorrow.......just wondered if anyone has one already that can comment. Or maybe comments in general about Clarke compressors (I feel a big can o' worms coming on)

Thanks in advance for any good advice

Hi.

That compressor looks to be a reasonable priced unit.

Decent spec & the bigest bonus. It's not adirect drive unit. ( Avoid them at all cost ). .

If you are going to be doing a lot of air sanding. A few more CFM & a bigger reciever would be handy.

All in all looks to be a reasonable general purpose compressor.

I've had no problem with clarke air tools.

I've bought one. My direct drive one just burnt out it's motor and it's only 2 years old.
The boxer is fairly compact, reasonable CFM, charges pretty quickly and has a good spec for the price - belt drive, cast iron pump, 12 CFM. Brand new model so a bit of an unknown quantity but it seems reasonably sturdy and well put together.

Thanks a lot for helping my decision! Got one today and it seems to be a great little unit.

Thanks again
