Hi Guys,
I've put a few posts up in the last few days and am in one of those "unravelling" situations. Every job I want to do requires something
else doing. In this cold I feel like giving up and yes I know thats a bad Idea, so in an effort to get this moving.....
Over Christmas I aim to...
1. make the Engine Mount Brackets (I have the rubber bushes).
2. Put the steering Rack in (Ally clamps en route)
a Does the angle of the attached colomn matter?/Do I need to make the whole column?
3. fix the gearbox mount in permanently.
4. Make a new Alternator Mount, as this fowls the steering.
ANY help, tips, suggestions greatly appreciated.

One great bit of advise I just found was buy(/make) the seats! I've been totally ignoring this til now but it makes loads of sense to actually be
able to line things up when sitting in the real seats. (not a block of wood etc.)

I think we all get to the stage where we feel like giving up.
DON'T DO IT.
Last xmas I made plans to have my chassis finished etc ready for painting and all that.
I ended uo in hospital getting my appendix out for 3 weeks. AND the chassis is still not painted yet
better to walk away from it for a couple of
days/weeks/ months and it'll all be fine again.
For the rack you need to get some clamps and odd bits of metal and move the rack around to get rid of "bump steer", do a search on this.
For seats I just got hold of an old plastic school type seat and cut the legs off so I could get an idead.

Me I’ve sneaked off into the house to do some ‘design’ and stay warm 
having had loads of problems with the electrics and also the SVA i almost set fire to the car in protest
but i did not. passing the SVA is an a wonderful feeling and i've just had the DVLA inspection this morning and i hope to get a reg number by
next week.
all the problems will be forgotten, just keep going one small task at a time.

My fingers are getting numb working in the garage just now. It is painfully cold.
But what else are you going to do, watch christmas movies!?
When I am feeling low I pic small jobs, when they are done you feel like you have done something and you get that happy glow.
I have also found that when you get pissed off give the garage a good tidy, you find everything you have been looking for and get lots of space back.
