Got one today, seems decent enough.
Much larger than I actually expected - has a 16mm chuck which fits onto what appears to be a genuine morse taper.

Manufacturer is Walter Werkzeuge GMBH although it is of course made in China.

Anyway - a useful addition to your shed / garage / playroom.

I got one too. Not too loud, which was a surprise, though packed in grease and greasy paper so will probably rust. A bargain at £35 though.

They have band saws for £50 if you need one but at that price I left them in the shop.

tempted with the band saw just cause i'd like one - but no space to store it

Did anyone get the axle stands or trolley jacks?

Had a look today but they had none out of the boxes to see if they 'll last long !

Picked up a drill today too. Very pleased with it so far. Managed to drill a hole in the side of a pipe no problem!

I just fetched one of these and a grinder from our local Aldi. My old bench drill has a faulty switch and is now wired to the plug which is sometimes a bit dangerous

funny thing is, i sold a fine one a few months back for £20 and within days realised i needed it still!

With regard to the axle stands I bought a set the other week and was pleasantly surprised with them considering they were the folding variety which I haven't used before. They seem fine and are German TUV approved so it seems they pass some German quality standard or other. Didn't look at the trolley jack so not sure about those.

Was happy with my purchase there.

i forgot until i read this thread at 6:45, so luckily the local aldi is less than half mile down the road, managed to get one, still loads left. looks the same as my brocken clarke one! just hope it lasts longer.

im trying to get one of these

i ran mine off a generator and it turned quite slowly, and i could stall it easily with two fingers. I assume this is something to do with the generator?!

I thought I'd pop into Aldi in passing on saturday, got myself one of these too, I see I'm in good company

Happy with mine, made a hole in something today, goes nice and slow and 16mm chuck.. table flexes a bit but spindle doesn't have very much play in it, all in all I'm happy.

Should accumulate fewer tools and build more car though..

I built mine today and put the belt to the lowest speed, ran it for 15 minutes under no load as per instructions till the annoying squeak went away . Highly delighted with it but can't figure out what the small Allen key is for.

Oh, you're supposed to run it under no load? Didn't bother reading the instructions

And no I haven't needed my small key either.. maybe for the grub screws holding the pulleys on? Not that I feel the urge to remove my pulleys...
