What's the best method for cutting 2mm ABS - which I'll be making new interior panels out of. Was thinking a jigsaw - but what type of
blade?
many thanks
Slow speed. Too fast and the plastic fuses behind the blade.

OK, thanks guys. I'll get a selection and practice!!
I cut my 2mm dash with a jigsaw and it was fine - I used a fine blade at full speed and went through dead easy.
Perhaps on thicker stuff it may get hot but on 2mm for me it was no problem.

2mm abs will score with a craft knife and cut through with two or three strokes if you are cutting straight lines.
i always use a grinder ,try it it works great i seen a guy in a plastic factory useing one years ago he told me it works great and it dose.
If you have got one of those squeeze trigger spray bottles, like you use for spraying in the garden. They work quite well at keeping the temp down,
just a quick spray on the material and the blade now and again, and it will cut clean. At least it works for me,
