Hi, I've been using an aerosol can to spray my old tintop and finished spraying about an hour ago. My question is what do I do next? It needs a good buffering but do I use polish or t-cut or both and can I do it now or do I have to wait til the paint has hardened?

You must wait until it has hardened (possibly weeks). Only hard surfaces can be polished

if youve put a good coat on and need a shine, id use g3 with polishing mop followed by G10.

T-cut isnt that good imho. Cant beat proper cutting compound.

Be warned though - if you dont have a good coat on then its possible to wear through. Done correctly and it gives great results.

I've heard the key to polishing a turd is lots of liquid nitrogen

If it's DIY can sprayed then it will have orange peel and particle contaminants no matter how meticulous you were. The way to get good can results is to lay enough paint on to be able to cut back to a decent finish.

Depending on the surface finish I would go through 1200 to 2000 wet and dry before buffing with the 'G' compounds.

This is assuming you hav'nt put on a clear coat as well. You will also want to leave it for a while for your new paint to harden properly before doing any of this
