Just tried to insure a Ford Transit van with Admiral insurance and have been told that Admiral DO NOT insure Ford Transits. ???
I was after a multicar quote for a Transit and a Focus st170. Did all the questions online but was told I would have to phone for a quote, this I did
but was told they don't insure Transits. A bit odd isn't it?
I tried the same with a Bedford Rascal with them,as my daily was already insured through Admiral.
I've even heard of the crewcab type vehicles such as Nivara, L200 etc not being covered by their multicar policies!

Unlikely you'llget a multi-car quote from anyone if it includes a van.
I insure my Transit and my Indy through A-Plan, but on separate policies, and their rates are great
I've converted mine to have a second row of seats from a Tourneo, and even with that, plus two side windows and a rear window, they were still
cheaper than Adrian Flux, can't recommend them highly enough
My Transit is a minibus, an ex patient ambulance that is dual fuel (petrol/gas). Just 2 captains seats up front and empty behind. I have made a
removable bed and cooker unit for it to use at leisure weekends/car shows. It covered just 1400 miles in between the last 2 mot's.
I wanted to insure a Peugeot pram(206), 1.4 to use for shopping and as a run about but the insurance quote was around £500, so I didn't bother. I
have a ST170, all running, that I was going to use as a donor. I thought I would try to insure it, with the Transit on a multicar policy but that
apparently can't be done either.
My Locost is insured with AIB and as NCB is not used on kitcars, maybe I could get a Quantum and insure it as another kit and use that as a runabout?
Admiral don't do commercials but the sister company gladiator specialises in them whom I'm insured through.
got my van and kit insured with Aplan
