Shiny Shiny new toy!
tegwin - 31/7/09 at 08:14 AM

Picked up a wee beasty last night...

I suspect the fuel bill is going to KILL me!

Seat Leon Cupra R
1.8 20Vt 260hp.... 4 pot brembo brakes and all the electric toys you can shake a geeky stick at!

Drove it back from Reigate area last night.... didnt stop smiling all the way... It is going to eat my license for breakfast if I am not careful!

All I need to do now is sell the polo GTI and pay the money back!!!

mate of mine has one, makes the trip from london to blackpool quite often, recons he can get around 40mpg if he can resist getting his toe down

Blimey 260bhp? I take it its got an uprated turbo, a giant intercooler and a fancy exhaust!!! Nice colour too. I used to get 35mpg+ out my chipped Octy vRs when on a run

Nothing fancy... just a stage 1 custom code remap....

It had a silly big turbo and 225hp as standard

Nice car - Loved my Leon

You and Flak can have Cupra moments together now

Ah so started out wif fast Audi TT spec. Big turbo and twin intercoolers instead of single. Very nice They make a good Q car as relatively restrained styling but very fast although traction without an lsd must be tricky or do they come with lsd's too? I used to have a Fiat Coupe 20vt with around 250bhp and front drive. but the lsd did a good job of taming wheelspin

I've got the 180BHP Cupra (earlier version) and I get between 27 & 29mpg at the moment...

Shhhh! Dont say things like that.. I am in denial!

I dont think it has an LSD as standard...

It does have some very clever traction control, and stability program.... and a switch to turn it off if you are silly enough to do so!

Yes, it does have twin intercoolers.

yeah - love my Cupra 20 VT too. Great fun. Even with 180BHP wheelspin happens all the time : ) averaging 32mpg (btw what's a gallon these days?!!)
