I want to replace it so that i have a nice clear one to check the levels & Colour etc. Ive found a picture which suggests (from the website it was on) that its a ford bottle.

Does anyone have any idea please?

Ive tried cleaning it up, yes. Its all discoloured inside from the corrosion out of the old engine!

I want to replace it.

No markings at all?

Andybarbet - 2/1/11 at 11:03 PM

I filled my old rover one full of gravel and whatever chemicals i could find at work, shakey shakey shakey for a while and left to soak for 24 hours, then into the dishwasher for a stint on 65 degree super wash, its almost like new now.

Is that an offer?

Nope, none at all other than an "E" and an S looking logo - more likely the manufacturer not the OE reseller.

Dont have one......yet

drury318 - 3/1/11 at 12:35 AM

Put it in a bowl of very hot water and SODA CRYSTALS & it will come up like new, got to be worth a go?

bonzoronnie - 3/1/11 at 11:27 AM

If you decide to go the new route, I can recommend that ebay selller.
He has allways provided me a first class service for spares to keep my Cherokee going

I have found that very hot water, fairy liqiud & a healthy dollop of bleach often works wonders on things like that.

MakeEverything - 3/1/11 at 11:59 AM

Right, after spending all morning in the sink with a kilo of bicarbonate of soda in it, it has made a bit of a difference, but the gunk inside is greasy and wont budge. I could try some degreaser / steam, but for the effort i should really go for the new one.

franky - 3/1/11 at 12:36 PM

Get a vw polo/golf/passat one, I paid <£15 delivered with a new cap, built in low level switch too.

MakeEverything - 3/1/11 at 12:37 PM

I could fit any one, but i dont want to change the brackets.
