Interesting... you could always do the blasting in a plastic bucket to collect the soda then simply add water to make a handy electrolysis bath for
those stubbern hard to remove stains

You need washing soda for electrolysis, not baking soda

Coozers scones or baking soda?
I suspect this won't be agressive enough to do anything as the laquer finish on alloys can be very tough.

No, it works on the oxidising but you need something more aggressive to remove paint like sand blasting
