Removing 'blueing' after welding Stainless
Anyone know of anything that actually works (and is fairly easy & cheap ) to get rid of the blueing type discolouration that happens around the
weld when you weld stainless steel? - The tubes that are being welded are satin polished btw but the finish has to be consistent over the length of
the tube after the process so anything angle grinder related is probably out!

oooh oooh I know the answer.
look at Frosts restoration, they sell some fluid that is supposed to removing the blueing in bike exhausts, presumably the cause i.,e. lots of heat
is the same.

i googled pickling paste but this came up. looks less horrendously dangerous than hydrofloric acid.
might be worth dropping them a mail and requesting a sample
