1/2 inch reamer
Hi all,
I'm looking for a 1/2 inch parallel sided flat ended reamer.
I found
this and asked the seller if it was parallel
sided, but he didn't seem to know.
Just wondering if anyone knows a good online source of such things.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Try www.tracytools.com or Tunes Engineering Service in Slough (can't find a website for them though.

That is a straight reamer so the sides will be parallel, that's what straight reamers are. If it's not tapered it's straight.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

How do you know its straight not slightly tapered?
The guy replyed saying "There's a slight taper to the start & paralell to bottom"

All reamers have a slight taper at the start to enable it to enter the hole, hand reamers have more of a taper as it takes more effort to get the
reamer started (hand reamers have a square end to the 'handle' to allow the fitment of a wrench, machine reamers have a morse tapered end)
