Air saw for kingpins
Hi i have some stubborn kingpins to remove and wondered if a air saw would be up to the job
Anyone had any experiace with one cheers Rick

they are made from hardened steel so i doubt it,have you got an air chisel?thats what i have used

bit of heat /big hammer/ hydraulic press . Have used all of the above methods in the past . What vehicle are you working on?

Its an LDV Convoy iv gassed one pin in 3 and still took a good wacking to get it out the axle end even with heating up the axle we have about 20 of
the damn things so will be somthing that gets done fairly often

I worked next to a minibus company and the found it quicker and easier to take the axle off and use a decent hydraulic press.
