Sparking Bosch PSR 14.4 Li

I have just bought one of these bosch battery drills and when I use it the thing sparks like made. They tell me this is normal as it is the brake working. Can this be true?

I have the NiCad 2 speed gear box version and it hardly sparks at all. It does have a brake but that I think is more to do with locking the chuck when you change the drill bits. You can see sparks inside but nothing that looks like its burning itself or dangerous. Perhaps the brushes need bedded in?

It's bedding the brushes in, just keep using it and don't look inside.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
