Remember the propane will cause condensation...
Bought our propane from a caravan supplier.. Not sure of the best place though..

Propane is a hydro carbon.
In the burn carbon combines with oxygen to form CO2 (CO if poorly ventilated)
Hydrogen combines with oxygen to form H2O (water)
If you do go for it then the Calor website lists local suppliers if you put in your postcode.
The wife uses Calor for cooking and I buy the big 47kg cylinders.
A single cylinder is £70 but a pair (for heating/cooking) is just under £100.
Don't ask how many I bought before I found this out.
Personally I'd go for an electric fan jobbie.

If you have power in the garage check out infra red heaters

We just have an old 2kw convetion heater. Stick it on an hour before hand and dont look at the elec meter.
Flogas are cheap, tho becafull to compair weights not bottle size, otherwise calor or the normal. We use a apir of 47kg for the cooker at home.

Another vote for ir / quartz heaters
they only heat solid objects not the air cost effective and no condensation issues
i bought mine from machine mart, however i can't find it listed on their web site.

Morrisons are good and reasonably priced for gas.
