Dremel Spindle question
Afternoon all,
My cheapy rotary tool, not unlike a dremel, has just let out the magic smoke on me, so it is time to buy a new one. I've got my eye on a little
cordless genuine Dremel one, and I was hoping someone who has a Dremel might be able to check something for me before I buy it.
I want to know what the fitting is on the spindle of the dremel? I've got quite a few customised fittings for my blown up tool, so it would be
nice if they fit the dremel. Can someone tell me if it is an 8mm diameter thread, with a thread pitch of 0.75mm?
Also, what is the diameter of the hole down the middle of the spindle?
Cheers!
Andy
Dammit! Too many decisions....

Mine looks like it is all imperial.
Thread is 7.07mm diameter.
Tool shafts have 3.14 mm diameter.

just kinda measured my dremel spindle with a ruler for you, i dont have any decent measuring tools here at the house.
appears to be more like 7mm max shaft with about 4mm hole, no idea on thread pitch.
