Steel wire/bar 4mm square, ish
Hi all,
I broke a snow chain t'other day due to my stupidity - it came loose and I didn't bother getting out to put it back on properly. So it
wrapped itself around the suspension before snapping, meaning that I had to get out and take the wheel off to get the darn thing off - lesson learned
Anyway, it's only a couple of simple connections which have broken, so I was going to repair it. The parts in question are made of rectangular
section steel, roughly 4mm x 5mm. Not sure if that is "thin bar" or "thick wire". I've been looking around for some to
buy, but can't find anything anywhere. Any pointers?
Cheers,
Andy

Heh, didn't even think of trying B&Q! That's spot on, cheers.
Did find some key steel, wasn't sure if it would bend or not though.

No probs, B&Q are awesome for bit's n bobs like that, I needed some flat before and got a metre of 20x3 for about £4, given that it's
at the bottom of my hill (2 mile) it's always worth considering for me.
Now, what to do with 900mm of 20x3 flat.......................................................
