Optimate charger vs Aldi-Lidl alternatives
Evening gents,
Looking to pick up an optimate 4 charger after the favourable reviews/mentions they get on here and elsewhere. Can anyone recommend a supplier with a
good price?
As I've been searching I've seen that the aldi/lidl battery chargers seem to have alot of the same features as the optimate - Underneath
they appear to be Ctek CTE-XS3600 variants.
The 22v 'back to life' feature of the optimate doesn't seem to be available on the aldi/lidl versions though
Any views from anyone who has used the different makes would be appreciated
Cheers
G

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

I've got one of each and as you say the Aldi/Lidl version doesn't have the desulphate function but it does a 6 volt charge if you ever
need one. They both maintain a good battery for a period of time as I had one on my Locost and the other on my bike over winter.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I have two of the Auto XS chargers, one on the CEC which has a full size battery and one on the BEC which has a bike battery.
Nothing to report really. Both have been in virtually continuous use for ages with no problems.
