Making a DXF file for laser cutting
I need to get run of ten pieces of 5mm perspex/polycarbonate laser cut. It's a fairly simple 20 sided polygon with four drill holes.
My understanding is the best way of doing this is to generate a DXF file and send it to one of the many laser cutters out there. What's my best
option for doing that without incurring too many costs? Google sketch-up?
Thanks
Gary

Or download draftsight...perfect for that job....
Can you really laser cut perpex?...won't the heat affect it?.......waterjet would be fine though of course.

Actually laser cutting is good as it polishes the cut edge at the same time. wish we had one at the last place i worked as it was a buffing wheel
instead LOL
