That's probably great for drilling circuit boards and the like but I wouldn't like to machine any metals on it that need any reasonable
level of accuracy as it just cant be rigid enough. There is a reason that mills have massive castings! Even my little Axminster (glorified drill
press) is much, much heavier than that and it deflects if you try to take too generous a cut in steel so I usually only use it for non ferrous unless
it's just a suspension bracket that needs making etc.
The stuff about building your own cnc machine can be applied to machines like my Axminster and would make a much more useful tool in the long run but
at higher cost of course! IMHO of course!
