Exaust or High Temperature Paint

Hello all. I have just bought a new standard steel exhaust for my MK1 Golf. The majority of it is coated but the welds are unprotected. Therefore I would like to give the whole thing a coat of paint to keep the nasty road salt and muck off it. I will also be painting the exhaust on my Spyder Silverstone as what ever was on it start with burned off the fist time I ran the engine. I have previously used barbecue paint on a barbecue but it didn’t last very long and I am not sure it will be up to coping with road use. Please can anyone recommend a good hight temperature or exhaust paint and suggest some suppliers. I know Halfords do a paint and that POR15 have a hight temperature variant. Has any one any experience of these products.
Thank you for you help.

I've tried cheap exhaust paints and expensive exhaust paints and tbh the only real difference is the price and perhaps a month longer before it all burns/flakes off. The expensive paints say you can either cure them by either running the engine up to temperature or by baking them in an oven - I suspect they might last a bit longer after having been in a oven for a bit but I still suspect it would burn off quicker than you would like

I have used aluminium paint available from Wilkinson etc. in the past.It is not sold as heat resistant but is fine for the back half of an exhaust system, I have even used it on cast iron manifolds with some success.

Thanks for that chaps. Screwfix and Toolstation do cans of high temp paint good for around 650 degrees so I'll probably give that a go.
