Snake scope in the bin

I bought a cheap USB endoscope thingy a couple of years ago to peep inside the engine. if you google it there are loads. It's one of them.

It worked OK, albeit couldn't focus closer than 60mm or so and had the image quality of a webcam.. OK but not fantastic. So I didn't use it much. Well, not at all in fact other than to look under the workbench, at the back of my head, top of my head etc. Tried to fire it up again today in confident expectation of success, but it's broken. Brilliant. Clearly lying unused, carefully packed and stored in its hard plastic box for two years was too much of a strain for it.

The computer recognises it, but only as a faulty non-specific usb device. In fact all our computers do, with or without drivers loaded and it gets no further than that. End of story.

I'm no computer wiz, and my memory isn't brilliant either but I'm pretty sure it was dead easy and worked just like a webcam.

Anyway assuming its dead it's going in the bin. Actually its in the bin. If you want it you can have it but you'll have to come to my house and get it because I'm irritated with it and too bone idle to wrap and post it.

I nearly used it as an air rifle target but thought of you...

The bin men come on Thursday.

Not 100%, but it worked before with the same drivers.

I've given up.

Yesterday I downloaded drivers from Maplin here, but had no joy.
