I have single one of those I no longer use it it is pretty useless they tend to fly off the hose if they get the slightest knock.

The least damaging type to the hose is the Girling pattern see ebay Item number: 160460380454 but they are a bit bullky most of the time I use a couple of SnapOn hose nips similar in design to these. ebay Item number: 260956886475

Variations of both are now available under different brand names.

Open a bleed nipple, depress brake pedal and wedge it in the down position.
No clamps needed.

Bit of rag well folded and a pair of long nose mole grips adjusted so they don't apply too much force.

The other trick is take the fluid reservoir cap off, top it up right to the very top and put thin polythene over the open top and make an airtight seal with an elastic band.
