Anyone used a gunsons gas tester?

Has anyone used one of these? I'm thinking of getting one to set up my car for the iva. Do these work with cat equipped cars or are they only for older vehicle? I could take it to a local garage to get tested but i'd rather be able to do it at home.

I used one these Gunson's on mine.

Got through the SVA for a pre 95 engine. < 3.5% and only just.

No way any use for modern CAT systems.

Friendly MOT station I guess.
