Electrolysis charger recommendations?

Just got all set up making an electrolysis bath for my sierra uprights, only to find that 'smart chargers' dont seem to work as I assume it thinks there is nothing there on the end of the leads.

So, as I am not an electrickery guru, I thought I would ask the question of you guys; can anyone recommend me a cheap charger for the job?

I dont want to use it for anything other than the electrolysis as my current smart charger will be used for proper battery charging, so it wants to be cheap.

I did find this and wondered what peoples comments may be:

I also looked at Maplin to see if they had something cheap, as I would like to be able to go get it today if possible, but the cheapest basic thing they had that I could find was this, but it is £29.99 which seems ridiculous!!

I use a lap top charger for mine, 17v and plenty amps, works better than any of the battery chargers I've used.

I've also got a stand alone power unit for a LED telly.. that says 18v and 5~6amp output, that would do it as well...

I have a tiddly battery charger, maybe 6amp, very basic, I just leave it running over night and works fine.

In fact heres the drive shafts I did this week:

Left is just wirebrused, Right has been dipped for 12 hours, still a few remnants so will dip again over the weekend.

A computer power unit does OK too.

Ended up going out and buying a cheapo Ring, 4Amp battery charger from Motor World as I didn't have a spare laptop type charger hanging around.

Had the uprights in the bath for about 4 hours now and it seems to be doing the job. Will post some updates later.

Thanks for the help though guys.

This is the charger I have been using, and below are the results I am achieving with it:

The set-up to start with:

After a few hours:

The Sierra upright on the left has just come out of the bath, and the one on the right is the other half of the pair, just before going in the bath:

Some of the scum (no I dont mean Man Utd) that has collected on the sacrificial metal I used which was a baking tray:
