MIG Wire?

What size wire are you using for your car? I just got my metal yesterday and I am eager to start! I have both 0.024 inch and 0.030 inch wire and tips.





Started Welding the chassis!!!!

i think most people will prefer the bigger one (we call em 0.6 and 0.8 mm over here in metric land) if anything its better because theres less chance of it kinking in the wire feed. i would only use the smaller stuff for really thin sheet etc.

yep. You'll find you can weld pretty much everything with the thicker of the two.

I have welded plenty of 0.8mm steel sheet with 0.8mm wire, no bother.
