10 mm steel tube
I need to sleeve an m8 bolt with some tube, 10 mm OD.
B&Q are out of 10 mm steel tube but I have some 12 mm. (sod's law hey have every other size )
a) should I try to cut a slit in the 12 mm, then weld or try to bend a piece of 1 mm steel around the M8 bolt?
b) hopefully Homebase will have it, fingers crossed......

Home base. Slitting and welding tube is a pain in the a. I would try and get some first. I had a look in the garage but I dont have any at the minute.

If you needed a really short piece, could you drill out (the threads from) an M8 steel rivnut or 2?

sorted - rang a couple of B&Qs and one had 9 tubes in stock - I got 4 just in case .... since it seems this is one size that is no longer going to
be stocked.
