Oh... pooh!
Several times over the past year I've had the need for a M8 die - but I hadn't got one, and 'made do' without it. Each time
I've thought that I must send an order off to Tracy Tools...
Guess what - I've just been in the garage, and found that I need an M8 die - and I STILL haven't got one!
Nobody's fault but mine... order going off in the post within the next hour... (at least I'll get it back in 2 days - I can wait
'til then - and no-one needs to offer the loan of one in the mean time, thanks all the same)

I've just ordered M5 & M8 dies for a grand total of £7.20 inc P&P & VAT from Tracy Tools - Namrick want £7.00 for 1 die, plus all
the trimmings on top. (both prices for carbon steel dies).

Sometimes true, but Tracy specialise in taps+dies so you'd hope they would be out of business if they products were crap.

A quick browse says they sell sub 1mm taps what are the chances of putting one of those in without breaking it.

I've bought a lot of stuff from them over the years, a lot of it quite obscure, most by mail and some at shows. I think I've had duff
items about twice, and they changed them without a quibble.
I could have got next-day delivery if I'd phoned up and paid by card, but they have a £10 minimum for that. As it is, I sent my cheque today,
they'll (hopefully) get the order tomorrow, and I'll get the stuff Friday. Can't really complain...
