Pipe bender

is there a good pipe bender available that can bend exhaust pipe without crushing it? But isnt going to cost a fortune?

Seriously though, for a one-off might be best just to pay someone to do it....

yes, just buy the bends, they are pretty cheap if you can find a cash friendly supplier. I paid £200 for enough stainless mandrel bends (made to order from 25 degree to 180 degree in a whole variety) of 3 different diameters, plus a load of straight tube, to make 2 off 4-2-1 vauxhall 16v XE manifolds

Try this place they now do kit car exhausts or you can buy the bits to weld up yourself. I havn't used them but have seen some of there work on stock cars and looks good.

Errr no they aint!!

Just cos they "look" expensive doesn't mean that they are!

They mandrel bent a shitload of tube for me, while I waited, then explained how to make collectors (even though they make them! ) then sent me away with 25 bends or assorted angles from 25 deg to 180 deg in 1 3/4", 2" and 2.5" stainless, plus 1m of 2.5", 2m of 2" and 2m of 1 3/4" stainless tube, for £200 the lot, enough to make 2 manifolds.
