Metric dies

I'm after getting some metric dies as it's the one bit of kit I don't posess. A mate has told me about a type he's used in the past where the die and plastic handle are moulded together as an assembly and there is, for want of a better expression, a guide tube into which the bar you are threading feeds to help ensure straight, accurate threads. Anybody familiar with/heard of them please?

sorry I can't help - I only read the post because I thought it related to the UK going permanently back to imperial measurements

I've seen ones that toolroom mechanics have made for themselves on a lathe - I don't know if anyone makes any.
