Lidl have a nice small fully automatic charger in just now --- not high output (istr 5 amps max ) but fully automatic with a maintanance float charge
facility.

I'd second the above,
But if its the plug top type one with 2 crocodile clips coming off its excellent for maintainance charges etc but not so good for quickly charging
batteries.
I put mine on the other night when the car wouldn't start and it still wouldn't start 12 hours later.
So for that case you might be better off with a bigger battery charger that also does the maintanance function, depends what you wan't really.

I also have that Lidl one , very handy IMHO, when the tin top battery's flat, just a quick twenty minuets and she will start first time, i think
they are £12.

Chargers
Halfords do a very good range of auto chargers.
Machine mart also do a good range.
Probably a better option's than a Ching-Chong, Fleabay one.

mine has a fuse fitted to the underside - have you checkey there is no fuse blown?
the electrics inside are fairly simple so unless the trasnformer goes, they should be faily easy to fix.
I have a cheap 6/12 V charger from argos boughyt a few years ago.
IMO if you need to use one regulalry, then you should invsest in a new battery so a cheap one should be more than adequate for the odd monthly top
up.

The fan sucks metal grindings back into the motor and burns it out. Aim them away from the front of the blade and they might last longer.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
