Chop saw disc replacement - blonde?
Hi,
Picked up a 2nd hand clarke chopsaw. Needed a disc, so got a 12" from a local DIY shop. Just went to fit it and managed to get it all apart ok,
but I can't figure out how to get a 12" disc in...now I know it takes up to a 14" disc, so I know that isn't the problem.
It seems the guards won't open wide enough to get the disc in, surely you dont have to take half the saw apart to fit a disc...any tips
please?
Feel stupid writing this, but I really want to try it out!! thanks

on my dewalt one you need to loosen the guard and lift it up a bit. I think the idea is that a loose blade cannot fall out completely!

You want the the 14" disc to start with.
Take the little red plate off the center.
Rotate the handle untill you can lift both guards and lock them in place with the pin.
Undo the cap socket.

Figured it out, as the old blade had been used it had deposited little piles of crap on the INSIDE of the guards, these had built up and up and were
stopping the jaws opening wide enough to get the new disc in.
All done now - chopping nicely!
