Acid etch through rust
I know I'm being cheap here but there's a principle at stake!!!
My TREs are a bit rusty (surface only) and I want to spray them black like I should have done from the offset. Ditto the top swivel lock nuts....
I can't be arsed to remove all the surface rust... but will acid etch primer cut through this? I know they're only £12 a pair but it seems
a shame to bin a perfectly good pair of TREs just for a bit of rust..... I know I could spray 'em with Hammerite but that flakes off long the
oxide layer is an issue whereas I prefer U-pol 8 acid-etch and Plastikoke satin black...
What does the LB(tm) Massive think???
