You'll need AC to weld ally, that's a DC machine.

I think the concensus is that it is possible to create a good weld with a dc set but is really only best used for thicker material as it is the ac
sets that are more controlable.

You can weld ali with DC but require a really good constant HF source and reverse the polarity.
You can then watch your carefully prepared bits of ali turn black and sooty as they fall apart. DC ali TIG welding is a commercial proposition, not a
lot of good here.
Ali mig welding falls into the same bucket, yes you can but do not expect it to be successful unless you have invested in the correct equipment.
