Tool Boxes

I'm after a roll cab tool box to sit my current top box onto so have been nosing on ebay and found a couple of contenders for similar money....

1. American pro one...
Sealey AP Box

2. Cheap Chineese box set...
Cheep box set

Anyone got one of either type?
Whats the quality like for the money?
Should i steer clear of the cheapo set and get the sealey one?

Dont want to pay snap on money as its just for the garage. Currently got a Kamsa top box which is pretty sturdy but looks similar to the ones above.....

Cheers for any advice.

Ash.

For the real locost solution... I built one... Nice chunky wooden frame and some big casters... I recon it cost me about £40 including the casters and draw runners....

A good weekends work...

Thanks for the replies, as nice as the blue one and the halfords one is i dont really want to spend that sort of money (different if i was using it day in day out) so probably go for one of the original choices, unless i find something else in the meantime.....

Mine are from Furniture direct at sleaford and they are well made - they came in boxes marked ARGOS ......
no issues I spent a few hundred with them over last year and always seem to get a bargain

Hello sailor. Don't forget to factor in the cost of re-painting them!

Speak to someone in your local Halfords and see if they have any slightly bashed tool chests/roll cabs in the back, they often do and may be glad to shift it with a decent bit of discount. It's how I got mine.

Machine Mart have a fair range of tool chests from cheap and cheerful to pretty well made stuff.

The Machine Mart boxes and cabinets with roller mounted draws are brilliant.

i have used my pair for twenty years, and for this months VAT free Sunday I am going across to get a new, wider, set.

Cannot recommend them enough.

The deal is now over on the website, but their tool boxes are now reduced by 1/3 or more!!

Still exploring a few avenues to get the best box i can for as little ££....
