Self-Tappers and IVA
I attached the brake pipes to the chassis using plastic P-clips and self tappers, but now questioning whether Mr IVA is going to take issue with this.
They feel very secure to me but now is the time to change them, before I put the body on.
If I need to change them, then what to? The plastic brake pipe clips don't look very strong to me. What about small rivets and P clip?

Personally I think rivets, not that there's any thing wrong with self tapers but they may take the opinion that they could vibrate out.

Used self tappers with thread lock, no problem at SVA and all appear to be secure last time I looked.

Should,nt be a problem, bearing in mind production vehicles are held together with self tappers

I brought some plastic clips on ebay for the brake pipes (they were suggested by others on here). I just brilled the right size hole and pushed them
in. They are nice and tight even after some bending of the pipes.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Push in clips? Never seen them, seams like a good idea to me. Where did you get them from?

Dax use the push-in ones too. They seem to be a pretty standard thing.

I would think they´re OK,
Not sure about the pus-in clips as they may let moisture into the tubes, no big problem if used on panes though.
Beware of what you wish.. for it may come true....
