Mapp torch?
Any idea whether this will be any good? Seems way cheaper than anywhere else. Looking for one to do a bit of brazing and also some
"alumiweld" or whatever its called?
ThanksLINK

This blow tourch is the standard for plumbers, when used with mapp gas (yellow bottle) the flame temperature is higher, good for brazing, i can
verifiy that much

i use the mapp gas with a very similar torch at work and they are very good, dont flare up when turned upside down and a lot more controlable and
hotter than propane. its a mix of propane and acetalyne. you can get the different nozzels to do different jobs with as well. just make sure its the
adjustable one as some are a fixed flame and cant be adjusted.

I have a Bernzomatic Mapp gas torch and it gets hot enough to melt aluminium, I've not used it for brazing though.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
