Anyone used these TIG's ?
Has anyone heard of, or used these?
I've heard a few good thing about them, claiming to be German internals not Chinese.
R Tech TIG
Any thoughts?

I almost bought one last year, they are based in Gloucester not far from me... The quality of the gear looked good, and the chap there seemed to know
his stuff... they have all the parts for servicing etc...
When I get sorted in my new house I will be looking to buy one from them!

I have an R-Tech 200 Amp AD/DC Tig set.
Very happy with it and use it every day.

I have a 160 Amp AC/DC and it's fine. I read loads of reviews and putting the obvious Millers, Butters aside these seemed good for the money.
The customer service seems good and they're quick to reply to E mails and very reassuring.
I read somewhere that some of the insides are Chinese but then R Tech add their own scratch start system and can repair faults themselves in either
case.
Keep an eye on Ebay if you're after one they come up as shop soiled regularly and it's only minimal. Mine a a piece of plastic fascia trim
broken off that's it and they're now including a free pedal which I just missed out on by a few days

I have a 160 amp tig - DC only - and I'm chuffed to bits with it 
Its cuz I is blond , innit

I have a Rehman 200A DC tig, chuffed to bits as well...
Just wish I could have afforded the extra for AC to give me the additional capability.
I rarely seem to go over about 120 Amps, so makes me wonder if the 160A AC/DC one would be worth the extra.
Still I supose it depends on how much ally welding you might be doing.
Downside of TIG is the renting of the Argon bottle. Still at least its only one type of gas for nearly all types of metal.
R-Tech seem to have been about for quite a while now, so not just a sell this batch of imported welders then do a runner.
Looks pretty good to me.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
