Removing paint from nuts and bolts - technique?
I have just bought myself a Honda XL125 for a spot of trail riding and to get me through the transition to a proper bike when I pass my test.
It's in generally good condition and I reckon I might be able to get a little more back than I paid for it with a bit of work here and there.
I don't want to do a full strip and re-build (tempting as it is) because I want to leave that project for the next bike.
However, the frame has been sprayed at some point in the past and while the bit of overspray are fairly easy to sort out (mostly just a case of
painting again properly or replacing little cheap bits), whoever the muppet was has also sprayed the nuts and bolts too.
Is there a quick and easy method I could use to get rid of the paint off - I don't really want to resolve to cleaning them individually with a
brillo pad, but it would be nice if it didn't look like a badly lashed up crashed bike (which it isn't)

Take them out and clean with a wire wheel on a bench grinder. Wont take the zinc plating off.

Take them out and clean is the only way mate! I got a wire brush wire for my bench grinder which worked well.

Air gun, length of air tube, box of baking soda, compressor. Do a google to see how to assemble and the results. Should be able to blast the paint off
in situ.

With BZP nuts and bolts being quite cheap, it would save you hours and look better if you just swap the tatty ones for new
