Glueing a Magnet to propshaft

I have an Spa speedo and i have lost the magnet which was attached to the propshaft. Now i didnt fit the original but how would you do it? i have a replacement but would like opinions on how every one else has attached a magnet. was thinking Araldite may be good? but what else is out there as i'm unfamilier with adhesives.

Thanks

Mike

PU adhesive - polyurethane based available from builders merchants etc (approx £6) Has a number of trade names like 'sikaflex'

Fantastic product that has numerous uses while building your kit.

Araldite didnt work with our prop magnets (all 18)

JB Weld is always a good bet

Good old JB Weld 2 part adhesive. It works like Araldite, you mix it and sticks it and it takes abut 24 hours to reach full strength.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

As near to or on the joints at the end of the prop. You won't upset the balance there.

Another simple way would be with the good old cable ties!

Or even belt and braces, glue and tie!

Anyone tried hot melt glue shrink down sleeves, ie shrink down sleeve with HMG on the inside.. it would never move then.

I used super steel epoxy and a large tie wrap, but mine are round the drive shaft flange. I thought I wouldn't unbalance this bit by adding stuff to it.
