ANYONE USED A THERMAL ARC 180 AC/DC TIG WELDER
Anyone tried one? Got a really good report about it at Stoneleigh MG Show on Sunday. Not cheap, £1400 inc torch.

For £1,400 I'd want a coded welder included, never mind the torch!
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

I have an SIP 180 AC/DC tig. £1175 delivered.
Got the torch for £45 from a local supplier and the foot pedal for £99 from the supplier of the welding set.
No Complaints at all

1400 is a fair price for 'slightly more expensive than rock bottom 180ac/dc welder'
The price hopefully reflects the quality - if you spend that much on a welder, you would be seriously pissed off if it wasnt all singing-all dancing.
