is CR4 mild steel ok for making clutch and brake pedals?

hmm, well newspaper is ok for making pedals if you design them to be made from newspaper!

CR4 (or CFS4) "mild steel" tube is seamless tube to the appropriate BS for "mild steel" seamless with "4" heat treatment, and is pretty good for most things as long as its sized correctly. for pedals I'd use 3/4" x 1/8" ish
