Any one got a welding helmet article from mag?

I think it may have been Classic Ford a few months ago were they did an article on welding helmets and came up with a best buy etc.

Would like to know what was the winner and from where?

My old helmet is failing and giving me spots before the eye's.

Of course I have thrown the old mags out!

Cheers

Adrian

It was Car Mechanics May 2007.

Best buy was called Speed Shield £69
Tel 0845 889 4400

best budget was SWP 2360 £59
tel 01424 423072

Recommended was Sealey PWH599
at £77.49

The Sealey and the SWP both scored 19/20 but the SWP was cheaper so got the best buy. The best budget buy scored 18.

I think Practical Classics have covered this too, cant remember all categories but I'd just bought a Sealey which it turns out they rated highly. For once I've backed a winner
